Ingredients
- 1 avocado large, pitted and peeled
- 1/3-1/2 cups sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cups lime juice juice of 1 to 2 limes (about 1/4 cup)
- 1/3 cups fresh cilantro leaves and tender stems
- 1 clove garlic roughly chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1-3 tablespoon water for thinning
- 1 jalapeño deseeded (optional)
Preparation
- Place avocado, sour cream or Greek yogurt, lime juice, cilantro, garlic, and kosher salt in a blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth, adding 1 to 3 tablespoons of water as needed to reach desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust salt or lime juice as desired.
- If using, add deseeded jalapeño and blend again for a spicier crema.
