Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons oil or melted butter

Preparation

  1. Sift flour, measure, add baking powder, salt, and sugar, and sift again.
  2. Beat egg, milk, and oil or melted butter.
  3. Add liquids to dry ingredients and mix only until smooth.
  4. Cook on a hot griddle. Wait for bubbles to appear and turn only once.
  5. Keep warm in oven until needed.
