Ingredients
- 1 cup red lentils rinsed
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 garlic minced (about 2 cloves)
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 cups water or broth
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp oil
- salt
Preparation
- Chop onion and garlic.
- Rinse lentils in colander.
- Heat up the oil in a pan. Add in the onion and garlic and cook until soft.
- Add the tomato paste and paprika. Stir.
- Add lentils and the water. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer 15-20 minutes.
- Stir often so it doesn't stick.
