Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup sourdough discard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- corn meal handful
Preparation
- Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to a large bowl and mix.
- Add water, sourdough discard, and honey and mix until it all comes together.
- Knead the dough for about a minute.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is about 1/2 inch thick.
- Use a round cookie cutter, or the top of a cup to cut circles in your dough. It should make about 12 muffins.
- Heat a large cast iron to medium low heat and sprinkle the bottom of the pan with corn meal to prevent the muffins from sticking. Cook about 7min per side.
