Ingredients

  • 4 ounces crab meat
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 green onions finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • wonton wrappers

Preparation

  1. Mix the crab meat, cream cheese, green onions, and salt.
  2. Place a small dollop of mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper. Keep a damp cloth draped over the pile of wonton wrappers so they don’t dry out.
  3. Rub two edges of the wrapper with water. Fold corner to corner into a triangle. Fold both ends into the middle to get an open envelope shape, or twist the wrapper to close so it looks like a little bag.
  4. Cook in 2 inches of cooking oil until golden brown — watch carefully as it doesn’t take long.
  5. Serve warm.
