Ingredients

  • 3 cups warm milk
  • 1 spoonful sugar
  • 3 spoonfuls yeast
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 3 eggs room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups margarine melted
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 8 cups flour
  • 4 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 package Dr. Oetker vanilla pudding
  • 1 package Dr. Oetker vanilla sugar
  • 8 tablespoons sugar to taste

Preparation

  1. Mix milk and sugar in blender.
  2. Add yeast and let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Add salt, eggs, margarine, and sugar.
  4. Mix in 8 cups of flour. Add more milk or flour to make a soft dough. Put in mixer for 5 minutes.
  5. Knead dough and place in bowl. Cover for 30-60 minutes.
  6. Form dough into small balls.
  7. Place balls in baking dish that has approximately an inch of warm milk and a couple spoonfuls of margarine in the bottom.
  8. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about an hour.
  9. Put first portion of milk in a pot and boil.
  10. In separate bowl mix pudding, sugars, and second portion of milk.
  11. Add this mixture to the boiling milk.
  12. Cook a little bit until just boiled.
  13. Cool but do not put in the fridge. Pour over warm buns.
