Vanilla Brown Sugar Syrup

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick or 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 chai tea bags optional
  • 1 cup water

Preparation

  1. Bring 1 cup water, the brown sugar, and cinnamon stick to a boil in a small pot.
  2. Simmer 2-3 minutes, until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from the heat and add the vanilla.
  4. If using, add the tea bags, cover, and steep 10 minutes.
  5. Keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Latte

Ingredients

  • 3 shots espresso
  • 2 dashes cinnamon
  • 1 cup oat milk or milk of choice

Preparation

  1. In a shaker glass filled with ice, combine the espresso, 2-4 tablespoons syrup, and a couple dashes of cinnamon.
  2. Shake vigorously for 1 minute.
  3. Strain into a tall glass with ice.
  4. Pour over the milk.
  5. Stir to combine. Enjoy!
