Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups bananas mashed ripe (approx 4-5 large)
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
  3. Add vanilla and mashed banana. Mix until smooth.
  4. Combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda and add to banana mixture alternating with sour cream, ending with dry ingredients.
  5. Spoon and spread half of batter into a greased 9x13 baking pan (with high sides; if not, use a 10x15).
  6. Combine cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle half over batter. Top with half of the chocolate chips.
  7. Repeat using the second half of batter, cinnamon sugar, and then chocolate chips.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 50-60 minutes.
