Ingredients
- 12 oz fresh mushrooms sliced
- 2 cups onion chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter for sautéing
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon dill weed
- 1 tablespoon Hungarian paprika
- 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce if in P>R>
- 2 tablespoons butter for roux
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- fresh ground pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
Preparation
- Sauté the onions in butter until translucent.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
- Stir in the chicken broth, dill weed, paprika, and tamari (or soy sauce).
- In a separate pan, melt the butter and whisk in the flour to create a roux.
- Gradually add the milk to the roux, stirring until smooth.
- Combine the roux with the mushroom mixture.
- Add lemon juice, sour cream, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
