Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup nuts chopped
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and line 9 inch square baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt; add to butter mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired; spread in prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Cool completely; cut into bars.
