Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound pork can be chops or boneless
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup flour
  • oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 2 tbsp water

Preparation

  1. Place individual pieces of pork in a bag.
  2. Put flour, salt and pepper in with pork slices and shake until coated.
  3. Brown pork in frying pan with oil.
  4. Place the browned ribs in a glass bowl or casserole dish.
  5. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup water, 1/2 cup vinegar, 1 1/2 cup brown sugar and 2/3 cup ketchup.
  6. Cook over medium heat until boiling.
  7. Add in soy sauce, corn starch, and 2 tbsp water and boil for 4-5 minutes.
  8. Pour sauce over meat so that it covers it.
  9. Bake at 350-400 degrees for 1 hour, occasionally basting the ribs.
  10. Serve with rice.
