Ingredients

  • 5 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup cornmeal

Preparation

  1. Burn water to boil.
  2. Add salt and sugar.
  3. Add cornmeal in a thin stream while whisking constantly.
  4. Lower heat to simmer.
  5. Cook for 5-7 minutes (stir thick as needed).
