Ingredients

  • 15 oz raisin bran 15 oz box
  • 1 cup shortening melted
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 cups flour (new 1/2 c)
  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 1 qt buttermilk 1 quart
  • 5 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp salt

Preparation

  1. Mix dry ingredients together.
  2. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Stir in raisins. Cover and let rise in refrigerator.
  3. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
