Ingredients

9 cups sugar (Marianne uses 7 scant cups)
2 ounces citric acid (from pharmacy)
1 teaspoon Epsom salts (from pharmacy)
6 lemons squeezed
zest of lemons
3 pints boiling water

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in the boiling water until sugar is dissolved (like simple syrup).
Marianne freezes in pints and keeps one unthawed in refrigerator.
